Chromebook
Edit a DST embroidery file on a Chromebook.
Most embroidery editing programs install on Windows or a Mac only. This workbench runs in the Chrome browser, so on a Chromebook you can open a DST, set thread colors, join and reorder color stops, and download the edited file to your Downloads folder.
Copy it to a USB stick from the Files app, and plug that into your machine.

Worked example
The sample flower on this page has 8 stops in three threads: green (stem and two leaves), pink (three petals) and gold (bee and center). On a Chromebook it goes from 7 color changes to 2 with one press, and downloads as flower-sample-reordered.dst.
What it can't do on any computer
Digitize an image, resize, or add lettering. For those you still need a digitizing program or a service.
Questions
Does it work offline?
The page needs a connection to load. Once loaded, your file is read in the browser.
Does it work on a tablet or phone?
Yes, in a mobile browser, though a larger screen makes the stop list easier to use.
Where does the file go?
To your Downloads folder, named after your file with -reordered added.
